Performing Arts
The Performing Arts Committee was formed to improve upon the invaluable educational experience that providing a unique musical, choral and theatrical program would provide to our students. This program costs the school upwards of $65,000 per year and that does not include the maintenance or replacement of the audio/visual equipment. These expenses cover the daily instruction of musical performance taught by locally acclaimed instructors to all Highland Oaks students as well as all performance apparel and on-stage décor for the Holiday and Spring concerts.
Due to money raised through generous sponsorships and general donations last year, as well as funds from Proposition 28, we are now able to grow and expand our exceptional Performing Arts Program! Beginning in September and running through November, we will be partnering with Centre Stage to offer a new Performing Arts Skills Workshop, where students can learn improv, acting, stage décor, marketing, audio/visual production, and many other specialized talents.

Every donation made is fully tax deductible and 100% of the proceeds raised goes directly towards your child’s/children’s academic experience and musical journey while at Highland Oaks. Last year we raised enough funding to pay for all program expenses through charitable contributions made by parents, local businesses, corporate partners and community members. This year, we need your help to maintain and continue enhancing the Performing Arts Program so that no student will ever miss out on the joys of creative expression through music and performance!
